Getting to DFW and Dallas Love Field by Public Transportation

Public transportation can be a useful way to reach Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field (DAL). The two airports have different rail and bus connections, so confirm the airport code before planning your route.

DART rail to DFW Airport

DART’s Orange Line serves DFW Airport Terminal A Station. The DART Silver Line serves the Terminal B station. Both provide connections with the wider Dallas-area transit network, but they follow different routes. Check the destination shown on the train and use DART’s official trip-planning tools before setting out.

See DART’s official DFW Airport rail guide for station access, service details and current schedules.

TEXRail and the TRE connection

Trinity Metro TEXRail also serves the Terminal B area at DFW, connecting the airport with Grapevine and Fort Worth. The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) connects Dallas and Fort Worth with CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. From there, the TRE LINK shuttle connects passengers with DFW Terminal D at the lower-level Gate D16 pickup point. Check the official DFW public transit guide and the providers’ websites for current pickup details, service days and schedules before travelling. See Trinity Metro and TRE.

DART Love Link to Dallas Love Field

Dallas Love Field does not have a DART rail station inside the terminal. DART’s Love Link bus connects the airport with Inwood/Love Field Station, where passengers can connect to the Orange and Green rail lines. Check the official Love Field website and DART for the latest pickup point, timetable and fare information.

Planning your journey

  • Confirm DFW or DAL on your flight booking.
  • Check the first and last service times, weekend schedules and public holidays.
  • Allow extra time for station transfers, walking and luggage.
  • Check service alerts before leaving for the airport.
  • Have an alternative plan if your train or bus is delayed.

Routes, timetables and fares may change. Always check the transport provider’s current information before travelling. For other options, see our guides to airport ground transportation and rental cars at DFW and DAL.
